This year we'll be set up at the Iowa Power Farming Show in the upstairs Ballroom Floor in Booth 711. Use the maps below to get a lay of the land and come find us! We'll be happy to tell you about what's going on in 2018 and help think through agronomic challenges you're having on your acres.
Dustin Johnson, winner of the 2017 Iowa Farm Bureau (IFB) Young Farmer Achievement Award, is a Miller Hybrids customer and we're proud to have been his choice for seed this year.
Dustin is an excellent farm manager and cares for the soil, the farm legacy he's a part of and about making his farm the home for his family. Check out the video IFB put together.
Some things are better left to the experts. In this case we weren't the pros. We had the experts come and they did a fantastic job with our concrete. Everyone had a place and a knew what to be doing and the floor went in before 10:30 am!
Progress continues. We had footings poured just before Thanksgiving and they are curing nicely. The outline of the building is more distinct now and transfer between our extended warehouse and the uninsulated storage shed will be all on concrete with the connecting alley.
We're glad to be working with excellent builders and hope the winter is mild so they can continue working and get things enclosed before the harshest weather moves in. This spring we'll be able to move products in and out faster and stay organized more easily. This is all important with the increases in orders coming in this fall. Thanks to you, our customers, our growth demands expansion and we're hoping that means you're growing too.
We are very excited to be breaking ground on the Warehouse Expansion Project here at the main office in Kalona, IA.
Our goal is to be able to keep up with new demand for Miller products. If we can cut down on costs by investing in storage here rather than outsourcing logistics duties we can pass those savings on to you through increases in efficiency making you more profitable.
The dimensions of our additional space will be 105 by 75 with a critical upgrade in cold storage space (75x35). This will help our research division continue to grow as we expand into new territory and discover new genetic opportunities before our competition.
Thanks for growing with Miller Hybrids. If you're a new customer or would like to see how Miller Hybrids is different contact a Miller Hybrids sales representative or call our office to see who is in your neck of the woods: 319-656-2532.
Our Welcome Book is a great resource to learn a little more about who we. The online version is just a click a way.

Planting ends and soon it's time to check out what's growing in addition to the corn and soybeans we all planted...
Kelly Estes of the University of Illinios Extension made a gallery of the things to be watching for when you go out to scout your fields this year: Follow this LINK to see the slideshow.
.This year 5 regional locations will help provide data for future hybrid seed selections. By choosing locations that vary in fertility, weather patterns, terrain, previous crop and farming practices, Miller Hybrids gets a excellent sample of real-world conditions that can be analysed for your benefit.
Take advantage of research done in your backyard by choosing Miller Hybrids this year and next! To learn more about how research is done at Miller Hybrids contact Bob Miller: 319-325-6158.
After some time out of the field from rain and cool weather, the Miller Team is back at it.
Planting test plots of specific breeds in specific arrangements to help make decisions for future hybrids is what it's all about. Data is collected during the summer on health, disease resistance, and a host of other factors and harvest yields are recorded at the end of the year. This data is analysed by Miller Hybrids owner and plant breeder Ph.D, Bob Miller. Ratings are assigned based on a series of trials throughout the state and over a number of years and eventually the best of the best are chosen, and are options in the Miller Hybrids Product Guide.
Every hybrid you find in the the Product Guide has been through advanced testing and been chosen to be kept around for specific reasons. Some hybrids to best on certain soils, others do best with a little extra fertilizer. To drill down and understand why a certain product might be a great choice for your farm operation you can look through the charts of data included in the Product Guide or contact a Miller Hybrids seed salesperson to help explain why it is that the Miller products are a great choice.

This year we had a great time at the Farm Progress Show! Our booth had lots of traffic and we met lots of interesting people looking to learn a bit about hybrid seed corn. A few of our dealers from all over the midwest came for a while and helped man the booth. Together we enjoyed getting to know new farmers, passing out materials & giveaways, and getting to know the neighboring vendors.
It was great time to network and help others learn about the recent progress in the industry.
We had a drawing this year and have some great news to share! Our drawing results are in! We had 13 lucky winners and want to congratulate them all!
Thank you all for participating, we'll likely have another drawing next year and hope to see you back at the Farm Progress Show then!
With much appreciation,
The Miller Team
