Syngenta® Corn Traits Nomenclature Guide
LibertyLink® Patent Statement
Soybean seeds containing LibertyLink® are protected under multiple U.S. patents and may be planted only to produce one (1) commercial crop, and only after signing a Bayer Grower Technology Agreement. It is illegal to save or catch soybean seeds containing the LibertyLink trait for use as planting seed or for transfer to others for use as planting seed.
NEW SEED VS BIN-RUN
- All soybean varieties sold by Miller Hybrids, including conventional and Glyphosate tolerant (GT) soybeans, are protected by variety patents that do not allow saving and planting beans for seed unless you are a Licensee of the patent holder for that variety.
- Higher seeding rates may be required for bin-run compared to new branded seed.
- Dealer agronomic support before and after the sale with new seed.
- Loss of seed or shrink occurs during seed cleaning and handling processes for bin-run seed.
- Income lost by not selling a bushel of soybeans that is saved for planting the next year.
- Newest seed technology available with new seed from your dealer.
- Your dealer provides replant policy support, seed delivery, seed treatment options, germination testing and properly stored and conditioned seed.
SOYBEAN PIRACY STATEMENT
Seed containing a patented trait can only be used to plant a single commercial crop from which seed cannot be saved and replanted. Examples of seed containing a patented trait include but are not limited to Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® soybeans, and Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybeans. Additional information and limitations on the use of these products are provided in the Monsanto Technology Stewardship Agreement, the Monsanto Technology Use Guide, and 2016 Technology Use Guide Addendum to include Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® Soybean. As of this printing no dicamba herbicide product has been approved for commercial in-crop use with Roundup Ready 2 Xtend™ soybeans. DO NOT APPLY DICAMBA HERBICIDE IN-CROP TO Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® Soybeans in 2016 unless you use a dicamba herbicide product that is specifically labeled for that use in the location where you intend to make the application. While no in-crop use of dicamba is currently approved, some dicamba products may be labeled for weed control prior to planting a crop and subject to minimum plant back restrictions. IT IS A VIOLATION OF FEDERAL AND STATE LAW TO MAKE AN IN-CROP APPLICATION OF ANY DICAMBA HERBICIDE PRODUCT ON Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® Soybeans, OR ANY OTHER PESTICIDE APPLICATION, UNLESS THE PRODUCT LABELING SPECIFICALLY AUTHORIZES THE USE. Contact the U.S. EPA and your state pesticide regulatory agency with any questions about the approval status of dicamba herbicide products for in-crop use with Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® Soybeans and follow all pesticide product labeling.

The single events in Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybeans have been approved for import in the EU. As of February 2, 2016, E.U. stack approval for Roundup Ready 2 Xtend soybeans is in the final stage of approval and is expected but not guaranteed to be received in the near future. Any crop or material produced from this product can only be exported to, or used, processed or sold in countries where all necessary regulatory approvals have been granted. It is a violation of national and international law to move material containing biotech traits across boundaries into nations where import is not permitted. Growers should talk to their grain handler or product purchaser to confirm their buying position for this product. Before opening a bag of seed, be sure to read and understand the stewardship requirements, including applicable refuge requirements for insect resistance management, for the biotechnology traits expressed in the seed as set forth in the technology agreement that you sign. Respect the Rotation™ is an initiative to elevate the importance and grower adoptions of herbicide diversity to prevent or manage weed resistance. Glyphosate weed resistance is a dominating threat throughout the United States that affects land values, rental agreements, conservation tillage and can greatly reduce yields. The use of Integrated Weed Management practices, such as use of residuals, pre-emergence herbicides and rotation of crops, traits and herbicides, is critical as no one method is likely to be completely successful.
